Sean Campbell is CEO and Principal at Formativ Real Estate Group, a full-service commercial real
estate development and investment firm based in Denver, CO. The firm is focused on in-the-
path-of-growth real estate and urban in-fill development projects across different asset types:
multifamily, hospitality, office and life sciences, and larger-scale master plans. Developments
that, through the built environment, turn blocks or micro-neighborhoods into sustainable and
inclusive communities that thrive in our modern world. With placemaking at the core of these
developments, Formativ incorporates complimentary asset types, public spaces, and additive
best-in-class amenities to deliver projects where people want to live, work, and play. Under his
leadership, Formativ currently has eight active projects totaling more than three-million square
feet of development and $1B in total project value.
Before becoming a leader within the real estate development community, Sean spent over a
decade in New York City's financial sector, primarily focused on fixed income trading and
investment banking, working for a number of leading global investment firms. Sean is proud to
be involved in Denver's business and non-profit community serving on the Boards of Denver
Metro EDC, The Other Side Academy and TAG Restaurant Group, and formerly The Denver Zoo,
RiNo Art District, and The Denver Athletic Club. Sean is originally from Washington D.C. and
attended the University of Maryland.
