Ryan Aids – Executive Director, The Greenway Foundation Ryan joined The Greenway Foundation in 2015 after a 9 year career with Verizon Wireless and was unanimously selected by the organization's Board of Directors as TGF's Executive Director in 2022. In his ten years at TGF Ryan has overseen the execution and expansion of all fundraising events and initiatives including Gala on the Bridge, CrossCurrents (formerly South Platte RiverFest), Reception on the River and the creation of TGF's monthly recurring giving program, FrOG (Friends of Greenway). Under Ryan's leadership as both Deputy Director and now Executive Director, TGF has also expanded is award winning environmental education program, SPREE, that provides award winning environmental education to thousands of Denver's youth each year. He also on the Quick Foundation Board of Directors and the La Paz Micro-Community Good Neighbor Committee. Ryan is originally from the small town of Rincon, Georgia but has lived in Denver, Colorado since 2006. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006 with a degree in communications. Along with his wife, Faith, Ryan loves exploring all of Colorado with their dogs Chip and Miles. Ryan is a huge Georgia Bulldog football fan and always looks forward to the college football season. The Changing Face of the Platte River: Denver’s New Green Development Corridor

The Platte River has been, for many decades, the industrial back-of-house for the Denver with the exception of a few publicly accessible points. Now, the river has become the focal point of some of Denver's most ambitious development projects—all dedicated to improving and honoring the river. The session will spotlight projects from large, private sector–led development to complex, public/private partnerships and major public initiatives that will totally change the face of the Platte River and, as a result, the city itself.
