Ms. Emma West

Emma West is a Partner at Bousfields Inc., a leading planning and urban design consulting firm based in Toronto and Hamilton. With over 25 years of experience in urban and environmental planning for public and private sector clients, Emma has led a broad range experience in city-building projects in downtown, suburban and rural locations at various scales including regional plans to site-specific entitlements. In addition to residential and mixed-use developments, Emma has had a focus on entitlements for colleges, universities and health care projects as well as large-scale master plans for mixed income neighbourhoods with significant amounts of affordable housing.  As a committed and enthusiastic urbanist, she is a Registered Professional Planner and a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners. Emma is also an active member of the Urban Land Institute, having held local and international leadership roles:  she is currently Chair of the Women’s Leadership Initiative’s Americas Executive Committee; a member of the Americas Executive Committee; Vice Chair of the ULI Americas DEI committee; a Global Governing Trustee;  Chair of the ULI Toronto Advisory Board; and a member of the Urban Revitalization Council.
