Wednesday, May 13, 2020 01:00 PM – 2:00 PM Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Hall A General Session
Open to All Attendees

The Toronto region is a North American conurbation that has rapidly emerged as one of the continent’s great global cities. It is a story of a metropolitan area that for decades has sought to get the urban fundamentals right, laying the cultural, economic, and public infrastructure foundations for what is now the most ethnically diverse city in the world and the fastest growing in North America and Europe. Rapid growth, however, has presented serious challenges to the region, ranging from housing affordability and traffic gridlock to protection of the environment. Through constant innovation, massive infrastructure investment, and protection of the urban ecology, Toronto is confronting these challenges with a balanced approach to city building focused on delivering a strong economy and high quality of life for its residents.
