More than just a convention center, the Music City Center (MCC) campus represents a bold investment in Nashville that helped catapult the city as it emerged from the Great Recession. MCC catalyzed the tourism, entertainment, and hospitality sectors downtown and is a showpiece development in its own right. Enjoy a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the 16-acre LEED Gold–certified building, which includes a four-acre green roof, a 360,000-gallon rainwater collector, and an array of 845 solar panels. The development story of the Big Three deal of the MCC, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and Omni’s spectacular 800-room property, complete with the relocated iconic Hatch Show Print facility, will provide a variety of lessons, including on the value of public/private partnerships—and you may even walk away with your own Hatch poster!
