Morning RUN Hidden Gems of Toronto’s West End Beach & Riverfront  This 6-km run will begin at the Simcoe Wave Deck, one of Toronto’s four waterfront wave decks designed to imitate the contours of Lake Ontario’s shoreline. The run will follow Toronto’s Martin Goodman trail west, passing HTO Park, the Spadina Wetlands, and the Toronto Music Gardens. Cutting through Coronation Park, runners will catch views of Prince’s Gate and Toronto’s Inukshuk before approaching the half-way mark in Trillium Park. This spectacular public space with views of downtown and Billy Bishop airport is the newest extension of the Province owned and operated Ontario Place. It’s one of Toronto’s best examples of adaptive re-use, the site of a former parking lot is now a beloved park complete with trails, fire pit, pavilion, bluffs, and more, and was co-designed with the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation. From here the run will loop back to where it began.
