Contemporary Heritage: Oxymoron or the Only Way Forward?

Every world-class city struggles to choose between heritage conservation and contemporary development. In Toronto, we think we can have both—sometimes successfully, sometimes not. The tour will navigate through a number of districts, landscapes, and buildings that have attempted to reconcile heritage conservation with urban growth and intensification—one brick, one panel, and one sidewalk at a time. Walk with us through Toronto’s heritage, entertainment, and fashion districts to witness the outcomes of intense public debates and how they have become the stepping stones that leverage our past into a renewed future.

Tour Cost: US$125 per person, which includes lunch.
