Canary Landing is a new rental apartment community location in Toronto’s Downtown East neighborhood that represents the largest and most significant residential development in Canada. Private sector developers Dream, Kilmer, and Tricon Residential (“DKT”) have partnered with all three levels of government to build 2,500 new rental units, of which approximately 30% set at affordable rents, as well as an Indigenous Hub and community center. Market and affordable units are randomly distributed throughout to create a truly complete community where all residents thrive, Canary Landing was designed by acclaimed Danish architects COBE and aA, and the first phase welcomes its first residents in the summer of 2023.
